Importing your Vessel Inventory

We’ve made it easy for owners to add their vessel inventories to HubLink. In just six steps, your entire fleet will be available to all the operators in our system. If you have any trouble importing your fleet, please contact us. We’re happy to help.

Step 1

Copy our spreadsheet template to your Google Drive account by clicking the link on the right.

Step 2

Copy the information from your internal database, spreadsheet, or PDF spec sheets into the “CSV Template” tab. Please place one vessel on each row, and enter the relevant values in the columns beside it. Fields with blue backgrounds are required, and please note that, at this time, HubLink only supports customary values (feet, pounds, &c). If you need to convert metric units to customary units, Google has a handy, free tool you can use.

The “Welcome” and “Field Glossary” tabs include helpful usage notes, and there’s no limit to the amount of vessels you can import. However, please only import 25 vessels at a time. That is, if you want to import 100 vessels, please do so using four CSV files that each contain twenty five vessels.

Step 3

After you've filled in your vessel information, please delete any blank rows. Then, export the "CSV Template" tab as a CSV file and save it to your favorite cloud storage service. Examples would include Dropbox, Google Drive, and iCloud. Whatever service you use, you'll want to make sure it's available on your iPhone or iPad.

Open HubLink on your iPhone or iPad. If you haven't added any vessels yet, you'll see the screens on the left. If you've already added one or more vessels, you'll see the screens on the right.

On the "Import Vessel Inventory" screen, click "Upload." Then, use the pop up to navigate to the CSV file in your preferred cloud service application. If your preferred service isn't listed, click "More ... " and then toggle it on using the "Manage Locations" screen.

Step 6

If your spreadsheet is missing any required values, you'll see an alert. You'll be able to scroll left and right to identify any missing required fields.

If your CSV contains all required fields, you'll see a button that reads "Finalize Import." Click it to finish adding your fleet to HubLink.
